Cooking & Food Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Barrel Smoking Wood Chips

These smoking chips are made from the charred white oak barrels used to age Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey®. During the aging process, the whiskey is drawn in and out of the wood, giving it its distinctive color and flavor. A portion remains in the wood after the barrels are emptied and some of them are made into Jack Daniel’s® Whiskey Barrel Smoking Chips. These chips add the distinct whiskey flavor to foods cooked on your grill or electric smoker.
Use with gas grills, electric smokers, griddles, kettle grills and ceramic grills

Instructions

When using a gas or charcoal grill, add two to three handfuls of wood chips in a reusable smoker tray or a heavy-duty foil pouch. Place the tray or pouch on the grill directly over the hottest burner or coals until it begins to smoke.

Once the chips are smoking, move them to the side to make room for the food. Watch for flare-ups.
